How sadden the town has been
since Mom passed away
Ly Nguyen
Millions of poems quite became meaningless
Before an e-mail announcing Mom's death
My soul was just like a diamond dissolving in tears
Mom's death turned the whole ocean in mourning white
There was no star aglow in the sky tonight
Fairy tales were perpetually concealed in my heart
Mom's poetry lulled by sweetened-milk of old
By melodious folk songs during deep afternoon-naps
Mom taught me the way to a virtuous life
That never offered any painful gifts to others
Ephemeral existence depends on provisional day and night world
There is no significance at all everlasting resentfulness at long last
Mom looked taciturn as the good-natured Thu river
I ran after illusions in snowing my hair
The old town has always stood still and awaited
Earth and Heaven, arfare, and ebbs and flows tales
All finished the most marvelous wonder of the world
The sunbeam also seemed alter to its wild color abroad
How saddened the town has been since Mom passed away
The whole poetry agitated in my mind
